Caroline practiced as a small animal clinician for 10 years before stepping out of the profession to manage a recruitment consultancy within the defence industry. In 2017, she completed a Master’s in Business Management and Veterinary Leadership before launching Progressive Vet Consulting, to follow her passion of improving leadership within vet practice through coaching and training.
Caroline graduated from Cambridge University in 1999 before undertaking roles within small animal practices in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.
After her first child, she worked as a locum prior to stepping out of the profession for a senior managerial position within a defence sector recruitment consultancy. It was here she began to further her knowledge of and interest in leadership and people management in the workplace.
In 2017, she completed a Master’s degree in Business Management and Leadership, achieving Chartered Manager status. Her original research into In Practice Veterinary Leadership has been published in the Vet Record.
Caroline is the founder of Progressive Vet Consulting, providing coaching and bespoke leadership training, and in 2018 launched Attract Recruit Retain, in collaboration with VetLed, to help veterinary practices address their short, medium and long-term recruitment and retention needs.
