At the January meeting of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Council, members approved a pathway for registered veterinary nurses (RVNs) to become Assessors for the Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) and also approved a new Equine Emergency Services Clinic accreditation.
Veterinary Nurse and ONCORE tutor Emma Gerrard, has been appointed BSAVA regional chair and council representative – and is the first veterinary nurse to represent the association in this role.
The RCVS Legislative Reform Consultation has been extended to April in order to give members of the professions and the public more time to respond, particularly in light of the current difficult circumstances with the pandemic and lockdown restrictions.
